Eligibility and Enrollment

Anyone is welcome to enroll in Columbia+, including those outside of the Columbia University community.

First, go to the login/create account page and create an account using your personal email address or your UNI. Then identify the course you want to take by browsing the course catalog. Review the course description, prerequisites, and fee to ensure it is a good fit for you. To register for the course, select the "Enroll" button in the course banner. You will be prompted to provide basic contact information, and if there is a fee, to submit payment through the SecurePay system.

No, it is not mandatory to register with a UNI to access the online courses. However, it is recommended to do so. If you are a Columbia student or alumni and have an active UNI, you will be prompted to verify your login through DUO, a multifactor authentication process on your mobile device. Whether you choose to register with your UNI or with your personal email address, there will be no difference in your access to the courses or materials. If you experience any issues while logging in with your UNI, you can seek assistance from CUIT.

If you've created an account on Columbia+ with your UNI, but are unable to access your Columbia email, you can still access the courses you registered for by visiting courseworks.columbia.edu and signing in with your UNI.
