This month, Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center Executive Director, and Research Director of the Movement Recovery Lab, Jason B. Carmel, MD, PhD is presenting the topic "Electrical Stimulation to Restore Somatosensation".
Columbia University Irving Medical Center Movement Recovery Laboratory investigates the nervous system circuits that enable and limit movement after injury to the central nervous system. The lab's projects focus on the interplay of brain and spinal cord in the control of skilled arm and hand function.
