Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center
The Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Cente (the Center) at Columbia University is dedicated to improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy (CP) through comprehensive care, research and education. The Center coordinates care by specialists in orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, neurology and genetics, with a special focus on the holistic well-being of patients and families through primary care, social work and mental health care. The Center provides resources and educational programs for the CP community and develops the next generation of health professionals through education and case conferences. It is the only CP center in the country to house a basic science program. Research at the Center's Movement Recovery Lab focuses on developing new treatments to improve function through repair of the nervous system, with the aim of improving the quality of life for people with CP.
