Professor of Professional Practice in International and Public Affairs

William B. Eimicke is a Professor of Practice in International and Public Affairs and founding director of the Picker Center for Executive Education at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. He teaches courses in cross-sector partnerships, innovation, applied policy analysis, and management. Professor Eimicke has developed and directed numerous executive training programs at the Picker Center for public and private organizations across the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and other countries. He has co-authored a book, Social Value Investing: A Management Framework for Effective Partnerships, with fellow SIPA faculty member Howard W. Buffett. Eimicke has served as housing "czar" of New York State, housing team member of Vice President Al Gore's National Performance Review, FDNY Deputy Fire Commissioner, and New York Governor Cuomo's deputy secretary for policy and programs. He holds a BA, MPA, and PhD from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
